Nick Moran was born in 1972 and grew up in and around Detroit, Michigan. After studying classical saxophone, flute and clarinet in college Nick moved to Chicago where he now spends most of his time when not performing back in his native Detroit or out on the road. Nick has performed with the Elgin Symphony, Rockford Symphony, Illinois Philharmonic, Kalamazoo Symphony, Macomb Symphony and has been a member of over fifty pit orchestras. He has performed with the Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Jimmy Dorsey, Lawrence Welk, and Nelson Riddle orchestras as well as having performed with:
Lou Rawls, Aretha Franklin, Mel Torme, James Moody, Snooky Young, Joey DeFrancesco, Ray Anderson, Phil Woods, Houston Pearson, The Temptations, Jimmy Heath, The O'Jays, Bob Berg, and Wayne Newton.
